Popis:	The presented clinical case gave rise to discussion of the main mechanisms and factors behind the progress of chronic hepatitis C. Special emphasis is laid on the currently available possibilities of antiviral therapy and its future prospects. The efficacy of personalized treatment and approaches to its improvement are considered based on the proper preventive measures and correction of factors responsible for poor responsiveness to the treatment, in the first place metabolic disorders (obesity, hepatic steatosis).
