Popis: Microelemental and cytomorphologic studies among preschoolers living in East Kazakhstan revealed accumulation of toxic metals (lead, mercury, cadmium) in hair and lower essential microelements (copper, selenium) in urine, increased number of cells with vacuole dystrophy, phagocyted, apoptotic (residual bodies) and degenerated cells, mastocytes, acaryotes in nasal and buccal epithelium. Noninvasive studies (of hair, urine, nasal and buccal epithelium) are sensitive, informative and prognostically valuable tests for diagnosis of ecologically dependent disorders.
