Popis: Migraine is a benign constitutional disorder of neurovascular function characterized by recurrent headaches and autonomic and/or CNS symptoms. The diagnosis is made entirely on clinical grounds, and should not be difficult. The sequence of treatment is removal of migraine trigger factors, analgesic compounds, ergotamine, and migraine prophylactic agents. Providing that their specific contraindications are observed, and their side-effects mitigated by commonsense measures, these agents are safe and effective. A correct combination should result in improvement for most patients with migraine.
