| Popis: | A survey of 113 hospitals in the UK was performed to assess current practices regarding skin preparation for surgery. The findings of the survey are presented and where relevant compared with a similar survey conducted in 1983. It was found that, despite scientific evidence supporting change, traditional practices still dominate. This evidence is discussed and, based on this, some changes in practice are suggested. |
