| Popis: | Although slipped capital femoral epiphysis is the most common disorder of the hip in adolescents, the diagnosis is often delayed. The subsequent development of degenerative joint disease is related to the severity of the slip, which in turn is usually related to the duration of the symptoms. This article summarizes the aetiology, epidemiology, clinical presentation and treatment of slipped capital femoral epiphysis. |
