[Correlation analysis of pulmonary shunt after resection the lung]

Popis:	Thirty-three patients with performed thoracotomy and lung resection were studied by measuring changes in shunting after they had undergone the breathing of 100% O2 for 20 minutes during the operative procedure and the immediate postoperative period. The obtained values of the shunt were compared with those in the preoperative period by making a correlative analysis, with a view to examining whether the shunt values and hypoxemia during the operation and the postoperative period could be foreseen on the basis of data on the preoperative shunt. The shunt was calculated from the following equation: Qs/Qt = CcO2--CaO2/CaO2--CvO2.
