Popis:	A 61-year-old man developed tinea barbae (kerion barbae) caused by Trichophyton mentagrophytes varietas interdigitale following prolonged intensive care treatment for septic shock and meningitis. Whenever a suppurative folliculitis develops, fungal infection is a possible cause.
