The physical development of 183 inmates of Voronezh Children's Home, aged 1 month to 4 years, was studied. The results showed lower parameters of their physical development versus the regional standards. The conclusion is that adoption is the best solution in case of orphans. Besides, making the families healthier in the social way, as well as prevention of undesired pregnancies and of giving birth to the deliberately unhealthy offspring conceived from alcohol- and drug-addicts are extra weighty factors. |
