Popis:	Investigations of 80 eyes have detected the potentiality of a 'secondary' shifting of the rupture of the retina during surgery for its detachment. The authors have developed a method for the assessment of the efficacy of blocking the retinal ruptures with due consideration for their possible 'secondary' shifting and a surgical technique making use of this method. The possible reasons of secondary shiftings of the retinal ruptures are discussed.
