Popis: A patient undergoing cyclosporine therapy presented with muscle weakness. This was preceded by diarrhea and treated with ciprofloxacin. Rhabdomyolysis was diagnosed clinically and biochemically. This was presumably drug-induced triggered by a combined therapy with cyclosporine, amlodipine, simvastatin and ciprofloxacin. The case presented demonstrates that during therapy with several substances which inhibit the degradation of simvastatin, the additional administration of ciprofloxacin should be considered with extreme caution.
