Popis: Bullous pemphigoid (BP) is a subepidermal blistering disease of the skin. Direct immunofluorescence is critical in establishing the diagnosis. Certain drugs are risk factors for the induction of BP. The association between BP and furosemide is rarely reported and has been challenged by a recent study. We describe a patient with BP after the administration of intravenous furosemide and review the literature on this topic. Drug-induced BP should be considered in patients who show bullous lesions shortly after administration of certain medications, with furosemide being a possible inciter.
