Popis:	Infective endocarditis is a challenging clinical problem with a high rate of mortality. Early recognition of this disease, and especially its complications, remain a critical task for the cardiologist. In this scenario, atrial endocarditis is a rare and sometimes unrecognized complication of mitral valve endocarditis. Herein is reported a clinical case that shows how a satellite vegetation in the atrial septum can be produced in a patient with mitral regurgitation secondary to mitral valve endocarditis. Video 1: Transthoracic echocardiography showing the presence of vegetation in the posterior mitral leaflet, severe secondary mitral regurgitation, and satellite vegetation in the atrial septum.
