Ionic stain-binding is influenced by number of acid and basic groups, their dissociation equilibrium coefficient and isoelectric point of proteins, respectively, and by permeability, on tissue side and acid and basic character, respectively, ionic volume, isochronic and succedaneous way of application, respectively, and hydrogene ion concentration of solution on side of stain. With joint or sequent use of acid stains of different ionic volume, permeability order of certain tissue elements, their relative permeability can be determined. |
