| Popis: | This article reports the case of a 3-year-old boy who was presented with a significant hypercalcemia caused by vitamin D toxicity. The parents had bought over the counter high-dose vitamin D drops online and administered the drops without following the dosage recommendation. The refractory hypercalcemia was treated with one dose of a bisphosphonate, which quickly caused a stabilization of serum calcium levels. The boy could be discharged free of complaints. |
