Popis:	Compassion is a feeling that makes man sensitive to the suffering and the death of animals. This feeling is not always shared by men and frequently they forget to recognize the merits of the animals wounded or killed while fighting side by side. In the past the horses were even more exposed to the dangers of war than men. In Belgium marks of these sufferings can be found on some monuments as well as in awards added to high military decorations.
