Popis:	The hypothalamic pituitary axis is reviewed in relation to the regulation of the secretion of prolactin, growth, and adrenocorticotrophic hormones by the anterior pituitary lactotrophic, somatotrophic, and corticotrophic cells, respectively. The signs and symptoms, diagnosis, and treatment of tumors arising from these three separate anterior pituitary cells are discussed in the context of current literature.
