[Cytological diagnosis of thoracic tumors in roentgenological and surgical departments]

Popis:	Cytologic studies of the material from pulmonary and mediastinal tumors, carried out at a room for x-ray-and-surgery and contrast methods of examination have recognized the type of pulmonary tumors in 96% of cases and of mediastinal tumors in 93.3% of cases. The histologic type of pulmonary tumors has been identified in 82% and of mediastinal tumors in 72% of cases. The method for urgent cytologic diagnosis improves the efficacy of morphologic verification of thoracic tumors before specific treatment.
