[Clinical and morphological picture of retrobulbar optic neuritis]

Popis:	A case of unilateral retrobulbar neuritis was described. The patient, 43-year-old man died because of the extensive postinfarctional changes on the second day of the treatment. Retrobulbar part of the optic nerve and chiasma opticum were investigated. The microscopic pictures represent the correlations between morphological changes and their pressure on the neural fibres connected with visual disturbances.
