Popis:	Four cases of coma, clinically typed as hypoglycaemic but without low blood sugar levels are presented. The clinical picture was rapidly normalised by immediate infusion with hypertonic glucosate. A tentative pathogenetic hypothesis is proposed and the Yager and Young "non-hypoglycaemia" syndrome is once more discussed.
