Popis:	This paper gives a brief overview of the recent ideas about molecular and genetic mechanisms of plant resistance to viruses. Two plant antiviral strategies (R-gene-mediated mechanism and RNA-silencing) are considered. Examples of engineered virus resistance are presented.
