| Popis: | This chapter explores the definition of international joint double degrees, examining the contribution that such degrees make to developing a Europe of Knowledge, policy positions with regard to international higher education and the experience of a joint degree from an institutional and staff perspective. The focus is on how higher education institutions are engaging with each other in such programmes of study and the institutional basis for such international activity. It considers the international joint double degree as problematic in terms of their definition and the different understandings of the joint degree and the importance of this type of programme to internationalisation drivers. The chapter presents a new framework for the development and implementation of international joint degrees. |
