| Popis: | Iris Murdoch put forward a moral theory of Platonic inspiration in which other-centered truth is opposed to self-centered sincerity. This paper examines the central role ‘distance’ plays in this theory. A comparison is established between Murdoch’s moral concerns, Simone Weil’s ethical reflections and Alain Badiou’s meta-ontology of truth. |
