Popis: Die vorliegende Arbeit soll die Faktoren näher beleuchten, welche die Kriminalität von jungen Asylwerbern in Österreich potenziell begünstigen. Dabei spielt vor allem das Bild von „kriminellen Flüchtlingen“ eine wesentliche Rolle, welches politisch und gesellschaftlich aufgegriffen und missbraucht wird. Weil die Gesetzesentwürfe der österreichischen Regierung ständigen Änderungen unterliegen und die Situation nicht zuletzt aufgrund der widersprüchlichen medialen Berichterstattung immer unübersichtlicher wird, möchten wir mithilfe des Leitfadeninterviews die Spannungsfelder der letzten Jahre untersuchen, welche kriminelle Handlungen begünstigen. Das Ziel dieser Arbeit ist vor allem eine differenzierte Darstellung verschiedener Phänomene in diesem Zusammenhang, um aktuell implementierte Maßnahmen bezüglich Asylwerber zu hinterfragen und infolgedessen politisch motivierten Bewegungen entgegenzuwirken. Neben der kritischen Auseinandersetzung möglicher Faktoren zu kriminellen Handlungen ist das Aufzeigen sozialarbeiterischer Präventions- oder Interventionsmöglichkeiten ein weiteres Ziel dieser Arbeit. Nach der Erarbeitung des Theorieteiles sollen leitfadengestütze ExpertInneninterviews einen Einblick in die Praxis geben und Möglichkeiten aufzeigen, welche die Soziale Arbeit in diesem Zusammenhang bieten kann. Die abschließende Projektskizze stellt zudem eine weitere Interventionsmöglichkeit in Bezug auf adäquate Aufklärungsarbeit dar. Das Ergebnis zeigt vor allem die Wichtigkeit sozialarbeiterischer Maßnahmen, aber auch deren Grenzen auf. The following thesis emphasizes factors potentially encouraging criminal behavior of asylum seekers in Austria. The picture of “criminal refugees” imaged by the local media plays a crucial role in this context as it is often socially and politically misused. As the Austrian draft laws have been constantly changed the situation is becoming more and more unclear because of contradictory media coverage. Therefore, we focused the investigation on conflicting fields of the last years which influencing criminal behavior, based on guided interviews. The primary aim of this thesis is to examine various phenomena in this context differentiated in order to evaluate currently implemented governmental actions concerning asylum seekers in Austria and to consequentially counteract politically motivated radical movements. Besides the critical examination of potential factors encouraging criminal actions of asylum seekers, another focus of this investigation is to point out possibilities for adequate crime-prevention and intervention of social work. Following to the theoretical part of our thesis, results of guideline-based expert interviews not only should give an insight into the fields of practice, but also should point out supporting possibilities which can be offered by social work. Furthermore, the concluding project-outline provides a potential measure of intervention concerning the increase of awareness within the society. Primarily, the results should highlight the importance of operating social work on the one hand, whereat its limits should be illustrated on the other hand.
