The radioprotective efficacy of grape seed extract (GSE) and vitamin E against whole body X-radiation was studied in Albino Wistar rats. Three groups of rats were investigated: control group (CG) intraperitoneal (i.p.) physiological serum 1 ml/day (n = 10), i.p., vitamin E group (VG) 50 mg/kg/day (n = 10), and i.p. grape seed extract group 50mg/kg/day (n=10). Four weeks later, 6 Gy radiation dose was given to rats.
