İnsanoğlunun temel ihtiyaçlarını üretmeye başladığı dönemlerden itibaren başlayan kil kullanımı ve çanak çömlek yapımı genel adıyla seramik eşya yapımı, günümüze kadar gelişerek hem bir endüstri hem de bir sanat dalı olmuştur. Gelişimi binlerce yıla yayılan toprak sanatlarından olan çömlekçiliğin geçmişinin Avanos'ta çeşitli kaynaklara göre M.Ö. 2000'li yıllarda başladığı söylenmektedir. Kızılırmağın eski yataklarından ve dağlardan alınan kil geleneksel yöntemlerle işlenerek farklı birçok kullanım eşyası üretilmiştir. Avanos'ta 1970'li yıllara kadar sadece küp, yağdan, gebece, ibrik, künk, testi, abdestlik, çömlek, güveç, çıralık vb. gibi, kullanım eşyalarının üretimleri günümüzde turistik amaçlı olarak çeşitlendirilmiş, süsleme ve bezemelerle turistik birer objeye dönüşmüştür. Günümüzde Avanos'ta çömlekçilik serüveni yön değiştirmiş ve kullanım eşyası olarak üretilen ve kullanılan çömlekler kimlik değiştirmiştir. Bu çalışmada Geleneksel Avanos çömlekçiliğindeki ve günümüz Avanos çömlekçiliğindeki ürünler, hammadde, üretim teknikleri, süsleme teknikleri, pişirme teknikleri, pazarlama, alanında yaşanan değişim ve nedenleri araştırılmıştır. Bunun sonucunda; Geleneksel el sanatlarımızın günümüzde bir çoğunun yok olmuş ya da olmak üzere olduğu bilinmektedir. Bu açıdan bakıldığında aslında geleneksel Avanos çömlekçiliği yok olma tehlikesiyle karşı karşıya kalmış olan el sanatlarımız arasındadır. Avanos çömlekçiliğinde geçmişten günümüze dek birçok medeniyetin izlerini taşımakla birlikte kendine özgü ürünlerde ortaya çıkmaktadır. Geleneksel Avanos çömlekçiliğinde kullanılan ürünler, en önemli değişimi olan maddi kaygı, Almanya'ya yapılan göçler, farklı mesleklere duyulan ilgi ve makineleşme Avanos çömlekçiliğinin günümüzde ki halini almasının temel nedenleridir. Günümüz makineleşme endüstrisi nedeniyle üretilen cam, emaye, plastik, metal gibi ürünlerin işlevselliğinin ve kolay elde edilmesi ürünlerin eski önemini yitirmesine neden olmuştur. Endüstrileşme boyutu olarak bakılan elektrikli tezgahların kullanımıyla birlikte Avanos'ta hammadde, teknik ve ürünler konusunda 1990' lı yıllardan bu yana büyük değişimler görülmüştür. Günümüzde Avanos çömlekçiliğinde kullanılan yüzlerce form ve ürün mevcuttur. Boyutları 5 cm den başlayan ve 2 m ye kadar çıkabilen geniş bir ürün yelpazesine sahip olan Avanos çömlekçiliği hammadde, üretim teknikleri, süsleme teknikleri, pişirme teknikleri, pazarlama anlayışının ve kullanım amacının değişmesiyle yön değiştirmiştir.Anahtar Kelimeler: Avanos, geleneksel el sanatları, çömlekçilik, çömlekçilik tarihi, üretim teknikleri, süsleme teknikleri, pişirme teknikleri The use of clay and pottery making starting from the time mankind began to produce the basic needs of human beings has became both and industry and an art branch by developing up until now. According to various sources, it is revealed that the history of pottery - a clay art developed for thousands of years- is started at Avanos in B.C. 2000s. Various kinds of tools and usage items have been obtained by processing the clays -taken from the old riverbeds of Kızılırmak River and mountains- by conventional methods. Until 1970s in Avanos one of the most important centers of traditional Anatolian pottery, prodution of tools such as cube, oilcup, gebece(two-handled jugs), pitcher, kink, jug, ablution tools, pot, stewpan etc. have been diversified for touristic purposes and have turned into a tourist object as decorations and adornments. Today in Avanos pottery adventure has changed direction and pots produced and used as tools for usage have changed its identity. In this study, traditional and today's pottery products, raw materials, production techniques, ornamentation and embellishment techniques, cooking techniques, changes in the marketing and its causes in the pottery in Avanos have been investigated. Consequently; today it is known that many of our traditional crafts have been extinct or to be extinct. In this respect, actually the traditional pottery of Avanos is amongst our crafts that faces extinction. In the Avanos Pottery, unique products appears beside possessing traces of many civilizations from past to present. The products used in the traditional Avanos pottery, economical concerns, the migration to Germany afterwards, the interest in different professions and the mechanization are the main reasons why Avanos pottery takes its present state. Due to today's mechanization industry, the functionality and the accessibility of the products such as glass, enamel, plastic, and metal cause to reduce the importance of the traditional products. As we can see industrialization size with the usage of an electrical countertop in Avanos in raw materials and technical products major changes have been seen since the 1990s. In traditional Avanos pottery, however, besides traditional production on potter's lathe, new techniques like smelting, moulting and free shaping gained importance in the region with the help of tourism. Products are decorated with different decoration techniques like tiling, rapido, marbling, relief, sgrafitto, hemstitching and leather. In the past all pots were cooked in traditional Avanos ovens but modern techniques and equipments like electrical ovens, salt ovens, anagama, nobarigama, sagar and raku are used. Products were used to be sold in bazaar however during last decades all these products are sold on global markets. The products used in the traditional Avanos pottery have lost their importance due to the functionality and the practicality of the products such as glass, enamel, plastic, and metal which can be produced easily thanks to today's mechanization industry. Along with the use of electrical workbenches, which are regarded as the dimension of industrialization, major changes have been seen in Avanos since the 1990s on raw materials, techniques and products. Today, there are hundreds of forms and products used in Avanos pottery. Having a wide range of products starting from 5 cm in size and reaching up to 2 m, the Avanos pottery has changed its direction as a result of the innovations and advances in raw materials, production, ornamentation and cooking techniques, marketing concepts and usage purposes.Key Words: Avanos, traditional handcrafts, pottery, history of pottery, tiling, decoration techniques, cooking techniques 200 |
