Spatial Domain Multiplexing (SDM) is a technology of modern (MIMO) communication systems that is still under research and development. One of the most important determinants of this technology, like all other communication technologies, is the power losses that accompany the transmission. As the light signal sent will pass through three different types of media, and each medium has its own nature in influencing the power of the signal that passes through that medium. This work proposed a new method for modeling losses in a MIMO-type communication system that supports (SDM) technology. The proposed system consists of three channels that are included with three different angles. The three angles are calculated according to the equations supported in (SDM) techniques. The proposed equation included calculating the losses for each path separately and then adding them to calculate the losses for the entire path. This equation is the first step in calculating the efficiency of SDM-based communication systems. |
