The control design of a helicopter-likequadratic twin rotor multiple-input and multiple-output (MIMO) nonlinear system(TRMS) is a challenge. In order to ensure the balance of the TRMS system, bothrotors angles are made by changing the speeds of the DC motors to which therotors are connected. In this study, proportional-integral-derivative (PID)control method was used to ensure that the TRMS system works in equilibrium.Particle swarm optimization (PSO) method was used to determine the parametersin the PID control method. Simulation studies were carried out in theMATLAB/Simulink package program to provide stable control in TRMS. Error valuesin the simulation result were calculated. It was seen that the PID coefficientsobtained with PSO worked in harmony with the system. |
