Popis: The liturgy is the celebration of the only mystery of Christ, which is timeless, but always takes place in a specific civilizational and cultural environment. The result is numerous liturgical rites and liturgical families, which are characterized by a specific difference in the celebrated liturgy, which is an expression of the long-term inculturation process. Inculturation of the liturgy is something natural and is expressed through a specific language, songs, music, sculpture, painting and church architecture. The presented article shows how local traditions were introduced in Poland to the post-conciliar Roman liturgy. It turns out that when editing the Polish version of the new liturgical books, it was possible to include many elements that were an expression of their own traditions. It was a great merit of Polish bishops, who saw what mistakes accompanied the introduction of the renewed liturgy in Western Europe, and therefore recommended moderation and caution in the work of the liturgical commission.
