Popis: | In the months of May, June, July, August, and September 1981 Civil Engineering and Technical Fleet (STF Varna) was hard at work in order to finish Site №1340/21 of TEREM-Shipyard Flotski Arsenal, in front of Ladzhata (Aladana). In order to form the payment rate for work underwater (underwater hour), STF asked the Institute of Oceanology at BAS, Varna, for a Protocol for Underwater Visibility—on the surface and on the seabed, where the divers worked. After measurements at several locations, including the help of the diver working there, I had the time to observe the test pit at the westernmost end. I found artefacts at a depth of 1.5 m, as well as two cultural layers at deeper levels. I believe that those at 1.5 m—terracotta tiles with dimensions of 40 x 40 x 5 cm, were probably from the Theodoriana Byzantine fortress. |
