By the population census from the 2021, on the teritory of Republic of Croatia there are 17.980 members of the Roma national minority. First mention of Roma on our teritory is from year 1362. in city of Dubrovnik. Although we cohabitate with members of Roma national minority for centuries, the majority population still has prejudices toward Roma people. In this thesis it is shown trough a cut of different reasearches, how Roma people are represented in Croatian mainstream media, a way media is reporting about the cases when Roma people are included and a perception of Roma national minority. Also, it gives a short representation of Roma media which has a purpose to show majority population problems which Roma people have to confront every day, but also educates about Roma history, language and culture.
