Death is a key part of human existence because it is one's own, unexpected and, above all, inevitable, that is, it is certain. Nevertheless, but perhaps precisely because of this, death and all its aspects have been considered in negative connotations, if at all. People are afraid and reject what they have no control over, which is why they try to drive away thoughts of death so that they do not have to face its certainty. In this way, man limits himself and is not complete, because he rejects the part of himself that essentially represents his finality. This paper opposes these views in a way that acquaints man with the positive aspects of death and ultimately with the optimism that can be found in existential philosophy, in the context of which the theme of death will be treated. |
