Popis: Stoička filozofija i dvije tisuće godina nakon njena osnutka uživa interes mnogih; bili oni tek upoznati s filozofijom ili njeni učenjaci. Stoicizam obiluje bezvremenskim savjetima stoga služi i antičkom i suvremenom čovjeku upravo zbog njegove primjenjivosti u svakodnevnoj životnoj praksi. Njena relativna jednostavnost i mogućnost integracije teorije, određenih vježbi i savjeta u svakodnevni život omogućila je zainteresiranom pojedincu utjehu i hrabrost u suočavanju s izazovima življenja. Even two thousand years after its foundation, Stoic philosophy is the object of interest of many; whether they are new to philosophy or its scholars. Stoicism abounds in timeless advice, therefore it serves both ancient and modern man precisely because of its applicability in everyday life practice. Its relative simplicity and the possibility of integrating theory, certain practices and advice into everyday life provided the interested individual with comfort and courage in facing life's challenges. Considering that the Stoic doctrine instructs us to calmly and measurbly observe the world around us and calmly react to it, it has proven to be particularly suitable for periods of dealing with personal and social crises. Stoics advocate for achieving inner peace, more precisely eudaimonia, no matter what kind of environment a person finds himself in. They teach us how to react to events around us and how to take care of ourselves; how to remain persistent and unwavering Epictetus, Marcus Aurelius and Seneca are the Stoic philosophers that are represented the most in this thesis because of their clear expression and popularity among the respondents. This thesis will also present Stoic advice and its reflection in the present by conducting in-depth interviews. The subjects of this qualitative research are mostly superficial connoisseurs of philosophy as such, of different ages, occupations and interests.
