Bu çalışmanın amacı, kurşun (Pb) toksisitesine maruz kalan yumurtacı bıldırcınların bazal diyetine beta-glukan ilavesinin etkilerini araştırmaktı. Toplam 112 Japon bıldırcını (5 haftalık) rastgele olarak, başlangıçta benzer ortalama vücut ağırlığına sahip, her biri 7 bıldırcından oluşan 4 tekerrürlü, her grupta toplam 28 bıldırcın bulunan 4 gruba ayrıldı. İlk gruba mısır-soya fasulyesi temelli ve takviye içermeyen bazal rasyon verildi (Kontrol). İkinci grubun rasyonuna 100 mg/kg kurşun (Pb (II) asetat trihidrat olarak) eklendi (Pb). Üçüncü grup (Beta-glukan) rasyonuna 100 mg/kg beta-glukan eklenmiştir. Son gruba bazal rasyon artı 100 mg/kg kurşun ve 100 mg/kg betaglukan (Pb+Beta-glukan) verildi. Deneme sonunda grupların canlı ağırlıklarının benzer olduğu görüldü. Beta-glukanın yumurta ağırlığı üzerindeki etkisi 43-56. günler hariç önemli bulunmazken (P
The objective of this study was to investigate the effects of supplementation of beta-glucan to the basal diet of laying quails exposed to lead (Pb) toxicity. Totally 112 Japanese quails (5 weeks old) were randomly divided into 4 groups of 28 chicks, with similar initial average body weight, in 4 replicates of 7 quails each. The first group was fed basal ration, which has based corn-soybean and no supplement (Control). 100 mg/kg lead (as Pb (II) acetate trihydrate) to ration of the second group was supplemented (Pb). It was supplemented to 100 mg/kg beta-glucan to the ration of third group (Beta-glucan). The last group was fed basal ration plus 100 mg/kg lead and 100 mg/kg betaglucan (Pb+Beta-glucan). At the end of the experiment, it was observed that the body weights of the groups were similar. While the effect of beta-glucan on egg weight was not significant except for 43-56. days (P
