El propósito del trabajo de investigación se basa en comprender los imaginarios en la construcción de la ciudad de Popayán como destino turístico, para poder compararlos con la experiencia de los turistas e identificar si las prácticas de turismo realizadas fueron acordes con la percepción que tenían sobre la ciudad. Esto se realizará con el fin de poder tener un mayor conocimiento sobre las percepciones que se tienen sobre Popayán, su relación con la oferta turística y con las prácticas de los visitantes. The purpose of the research work is based on understanding the imaginaries in the construction of the city of Popayán as a tourist destination, in order to compare them with the experience of tourists and identify if the tourism practices carried out were in accordance with the perception they had about the city. This will be done in order to have a better understanding of the perceptions of Popayán, its relationship with the tourist offer and with the practices of visitors.
