"Using English Subtitle Movie to Enrich Students Vocabulary Mastery at the Twelfth Grade of MAN Palopo" A thesis of English Language Education Study Program of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training Faculty, State Islamic Institute of Palopo. Supervised by (1) Wisran, S.S., M.Pd and (2) St. Hartina, S.Pd., M.Pd. This research aims to determine whether the use of English Subtitles movies is effective to enrich Students' Vocabulary Mastery at the Twelfth Grade of MAN Palopo. This research adopted the pre-experimental method. Thirty-one students participated in this research which was taken purposively. The Subtitle Movie was the medium used to enrich the students' vocabulary mastery, and the vocabulary test was the research instrument. The researcher collected the data through pre-test, treatment, and post-test. SPSS 22 edition was used to perform statistical analysis on the data and described quantitatively. Investigation revealed that the mean post-test score is higher than the pre-test score (57,29 < 93,93). Besides, the value of the t- count is higher than the value of the t-table. The result of the student's scores on the post-test became more elevated than opposed tests representing the treatment's effectiveness in helping the learners improve their vocabulary mastery. It could be summarized that using the Subtitle Movie significantly improves the students' vocabulary mastery, especially in Nouns, verbs, and adjectives.
