Popis: | International audience; On 7 December 2020, the European Union adopted its first regime of restrictive measures in response to serious human rights violations and abuses. Following the lead of the United States (Global Magnistky Human Rights Accountability Act, 2016), the European Union sees these restrictive measures as tools to fight impunity. This article examines the implications of these measures in the European Union's external relations law and proposes an analysis of their various legal levers both in Union law and in public international law. |
