Professional associates perspective on upbringing and educational outcomes of children with disabilities in regular schools

Popis: Cilj ovog rada bio je opisati stavove i iskustva stručnog osoblja redovne osnovne škole o odgojno-obrazovnim ishodima djece s učenika s teškoćama u razvoju. Korišten je kvalitativni pristup istraživanja, a rezultati su dobiveni tematskom analizom intervjua provedenih sa stručnim suradnicima osnovnih škola. Rezultati istraživanja su pokazali da djeca s teškoćama u razvoju nailaze na razne prepreke kada se radi o ostvarenju pozitivnih odgojno-obrazovnih ishoda, a povezane su sa preopterećenosti stručnih suradnika koji bi im trebali pružiti stručnu pomoć, nekompetentnim pomoćnicima u nastavi i neprihvaćenosti od strane vršnjaka. Sudionici istraživanja također imaju pozitivan stav o socijalnim radnicima kao potencijalni stručnim suradnicima, te je u budućnosti potrebno dublje istražiti tu tematiku.
The aim of this paper was to describe the attitudes and experiences of the professional associates in primary schools about educational and upbringing outcomes of children with disabilities. A qualitative research approach was used, and the results were obtained by thematic analysis of interviews conducted with professional associates. The results of the research showed that children with disabilities encounter various obstacles when it comes to achieving positive educational outcomes, which are related to the overload of professional associates who should provide them with professional assistance, incompetent teaching assistants and rejection by peers. Research participants also have a positive attitude towards social workers as potential professional associates, and it is necessary to explore this topic more deeply in the future.
