Popis: definiranju pojma nasilja u vezama mladih strani autori često koriste izraz teen dating violence, a definira se kao fizičko, psihičko, emocionalno i seksualno nasilje čiji je cilj zadobivanje moći i održavanje kontrole nad drugom osobom u vezi. Postoje razni oblici nasilja u vezama mladih kao što su fizičo nasilje, psihičko nasilje, seksualno nasilje te uhođenje. Brojnim istraživanjima pokušavaju se predvidjeti ovakva nasilnička ponašanja pomoću određenih rizičnih čimbenika. Posljednjih nekoliko godina primijetio se porast nasilja u mladenačkim vezama te potreba za shvaćanjem uzroka ovog problema. U razumijevanju uzroka nasilja pomažu nam razne teorije od kojih su dominantne feministička teorija, teorija socijalnog učenja, teorija socijalnih veza i socijalne kontrole, teorija privrženosti te pozadinsko- situacijski model. Važnost osvještavanja mladih i društva o ovome problem leži u brojnim negativnim posljedicama koje nasilno ponašanje u vezi proizvodi, te kako bi se takvo ponašanje spriječilo važno je raditi na razvijanju prevetivnih programa i obrazovanju mladih. Provedeni preventivni programi proizveli su pozitivne učinke te utjecali na smajenje nasilničkog ponašanja u vezi, važno je učiti iz takvih programa i stvarati nove prilagođavajući ih populaciji na koju se žele primijeniti.
To define the term violence in adolescent relationships, foreign authors often use the term teen dating violence, and it is defined as physical, psychological, emotional and sexual violence whose goal is to gain power and maintain control over another person in the relationship. There are various forms of violence in youth relationships such as physical violence, psychological violence, sexual violence and stalking. Numerous studies try to predict such violent behaviors using certain risk factors. In the last few years there has been an increase in violence in adolescent relationships amd the need to understand the causes of this problem. Various theories help us to understand the causes of violence, the dominant ones being feminist theory, social learning theory, social relations and social control theory, attachment theory and background situational model. The importance of raising awareness among young people and society about this problem lies in the many negative consequences that violent behavior in a relationship produces, and in order to prevent such behavior it is important to work on developing prevention programs and educating young people. Implemented prevention programs have produced positive effects and influenced the reduction of violent behavior in relationships, it is important to learn from such programs and create new ones by adapting them to the population to which they want to apply.
