Development of technology in the last few years has changed people's way of life as well as their legal relations. Use of technology has affected the relation between traders and consumers as the trade is increasingly carried out electronically, what could be especially noticed during covid pandemic when the entire life and so the trade moved online. As well, with the advancement of technology new products also appear and traders are contractually obligated to deliver goods with digital content or service. Considering the mentioned innovations in the field of technology, such legal relations have become everyday, however they were not legally regulated. European Union therefore passes two directives which aims to achieve the unity of the digital market, so called digital directives. As the Republic of Croatia is a member of the European Union, passing these directives also has affected our legislation due to the obligation to implement the provisions of the directives into our legal order. Especially significant are amendments to the Civil Obligations act which changed part of our law of obligations in the area of liability for material defects
