Substation overvoltage calculation based on LLS and SCADA measurements

Popis: Sustav za lociranje atmosferskih pražnjenja (SLAP) detektira udare munja na području hrvatske prijenosne mreže. Dobiveni podaci koreliraju se s podacima o isklopima iz SCADA sustava. Kako bi se dobile informacije o dielektričnim naprezanjima uzrokovanim udarima munja na dalekovodima i u rasklopnim postrojenjima provedene su računalne simulacije u programskom alatu EMTP-RV. Simulacije su provedene za tri naponske razine prijenosne mreže (400, 220 i 110 kV). Za svaku od naponskih razina modelirani su visokonaponski dalekovodi i postrojenja te je analizirana prenaponska zaštita metal-oksidnim odvodnicima prenapona. Lightning Location System (LLS) is used to detect lightning strikes in the area of the Croatian transmission grid. Data gathered in LLS is used to co-relate with the fault switching operations from the SCADA system. Computer simulations using software package EMTP-RV are conducted to collect additional information about dielectric stress caused by lightning strikes on transmission lines and substations. Simulations are conducted for the three existing transmission voltage levels (400, 220 and 110 kV). For each of the voltage levels a model is created. Overvoltage protection was analysed using metal-oxide surge arresters.
