Design of axial-flux permanent magnet motor for automotive application

Popis: Analizirana je dostupna literatura s područja dizajna aksijalnih strojeva s permanentnim magnetima. Odabran je kataloški dostupan aksijalni motor nad kojim je provedena numerička analiza metodom konačnih elemenata kako bi se potvrdila ispravnost principa modeliranja i 3D proračuna. Također, napravljena je termodinamička i mehanička analiza stroja. Na temelju zahtjeva, odabrani su parametri stroja kao što je vrsta spoja namota, tip namota, tip vodiča, vrsta permanentnih magneta i materijal od kojeg se izrađuje stator. Predložen je novi dizajn aksijalnog stroja, drugačije topologije, koji ima bolje karakteristike u području nižih brzina, jednostavniji dizajn kućišta i bolje termodinamičke performanse, što je potvrđeno analitičkim i numeričkim proračunima. The available literature in the field of design of axial machines with permanent magnets was analyzed. An axial motor available in the catalog was selected, on which a numerical analysis using the finite element method was performed in order to confirm the veracity of the modeling principles and 3D calculations. Also, a thermodynamic and mechanical analysis of the machine was made. Based on the requirements, the parameters of the machine are selected such as the type of winding connection, the type of winding, the type of conductor, the type of permanent magnets and the material from which the stator is made. A new design of an axial machine, with a different topology, is proposed, which has better characteristics in the area of lower speeds, a simpler housing design and better thermodynamic performance, which is confirmed by analytical and numerical calculations.
