Popis: Cilj. Aims. The aim of this study is to determine the extent to which patients miss scheduled appointments and determine the structure of these patients with regard to age, sex, place of residence, marital status, work status, level of completed education, diagnosis, type of search, waiting time. Methods. Non-attendance of patients at the scheduled appointments was established as a cross-sectional study on MR and CT diagnostics in six-month period, from Nov 1. 2017. until Apr 30. 2018. Administrative and demographic data for people who missed the appointment, and 50 for each diagnostic that did not miss the appointment, were collected. Results. 10.83% of patients did not arrive at the scheduled appointment for CT and 26.15% of patients did not arrive at the scheduled MRI. The average number of days of waiting is significantly longer for MRI compared to CT. The waiting time does not affect the scheduled CT attendance. Patients who do not arrive at the scheduled MRI scan are waiting considerably longer than the patients who did not miss the scan. A comparable majority of patients who did not appear on the scheduled examinations (CT and MR) were from the city, within 25 km distance, among the CT patients, the most were retired, while among the MRI most of them were employed. Conclusions. More convincing and accurate methods can be set up to reduce the frequency of omission, rationalize resources, increase quality and ensure access to health care.
