Scientifically determinate metabolic age does not need to be and does not have to be equal to chronological age. It generally deviates from the chronological age of the individual, either in a negative or positive direction. Therefore, the main goal of this work was to analyze the metabolic age of subjects in their third part of life. The main goal of the research is devided into two parts: determining the existence between chronological age and metabolic age, and analyzing the relation between heart function variables and the difference between chronological and metabolic age. The research was conducted on a sample of 42 female respondents aged 54 to 81 without major health problems. All respondents attended recreational programs for the purpose of research. All subjects also signed a written consent before participating in the research. For the purpose of this research, TANITA and a structured questionnaire with personal dana, including chronological age, were used. The Tanita device calculated the metabolic age. The t- test for dependent samples revealed a statistically significant difference between the test subjects, which establishes that their metabolic age is lower than the chronological age by about 13 years. The correlation analysis established the connection between systolic and diastolic pressure, as well as the signification between the difference in chronological and metabolic age and diastolic pressure. Such a result indicates that lower metabolic age compared to chronological age also means lower diastolic pressure. It was concluded that this research indicates the importance of physical activity in order to speed up the metabolism and thereby reduce the metabolic age with lower risk of heart and chronic diseases.
