AIM: To compare two methods of testing in immunohematology. Methods: Classical testing, and automated testing with the help of the analyzer. METHODS: Classical testing includes testing done in a test tube holding strictly regulated protocols which are enrolled in work instructions that are found in any workplace. The introduction of automation in parts of the laboratory work prompted numerous studies which basis is to compare these methods of immunohaematological testing. Testing related to this article were made on the analyzer Ortho Auto VueTM Innova. RESULTS: The presented results are part of the test made on analyzer Ortho Auto VueTM Innova. Conducted daily control indicated the validity of the instrument, and the results obtained are accurate, precise and reproducible. CONCLUSION: Tests made by both methods were in accordance with the standards of good clinical practice (accurate, precise and reproducible). The automated system was superior in so far as it is possible to make a greater number of tests in less time, shortened the time of reporting the findings, and the staff deprived parts of monotonous manual work which greatly reduces the preanalytical errors. |
