The present essay aims to consider some fruitful and important aspects of Remi Brague's intellectual Research. For Brague, the cultural reconstruction of Europe requires the recovery of the classical notion of nature, a nature that is normatively relevant, in order to understand and overcome the mostakes of modern (anti-) humanism. In this way Brague continue and develops what Max Scheler left unfinished about the attempt to outline a philosophical anthropology able of grasping the ineliminable features of human nature. In this sense, according to Brague, any thought about human improvement cannot avoid a reflection on human telos and its orientation towards values |
