Popis: The article focuses upon scribal practices documented for “Valentinian” sources, by picking up one of the main pupils of Valentinus as a test case: Marcus the so called “magician”. In light of the literary evidence at our disposal, the hypothesis is advanced that Marcus knows and re-works a Greek version of the Coptic Gospel of Truth from Nag Hammadi as a text authored by his teacher.
