The global spread of COVID-19 has led society to face new challenges: the paper focuses in detail on the peculiar consequences that the emergency situation has had on the health of university students. The pandemic has had a diversified impact on the university student population, due to its great heterogeneity: variables such as the residential condition and the characteristics of the house in which the lockdown was spent have significantly influenced the mental health and the level of well-being perceived by students. Understanding their difficulties and needs is extremely important in order to adopt truly effective policies and implement ad hoc services for a differentiated population. The data are the result of the research "Living and studying at the time of Covid-19", promoted by the University of Bologna in collaboration with the Urban Innovation Foundation, the Student Council and the Student Associations. |
