This text addresses the problem of research called “experimental trials” in the diploma theses of students of teacher studies at the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology at the University of Silesia in Katowice. The authors put together the concepts of innovation, , and creativity, describe the method of pedagogical experiment and especially the type of natural experiments which in the literature are called “experimental trials”, pointing to the advantages of such empirical research in acquiring future teachers’ research competences. At the same time, they note the usefulness of this type of research in the process of evaluation of the broadly understood didactic and educational process and building the self-realization competence of teachers. |
