Svrha je rada prikazati aterosklerotsku bolest karotidnih arterija. Na početku opisana je anatomija glave i vrata, krvnih žila te karotidnih arterija. Spominje se fiziologija i patologija ateroskleroze i moždanog udara. Prikazana je klinička slika, epidemiologija, načini dijagnosticiranja i liječenja ateroskleroze karotidnih arterija. Obrađeni su podaci iz retrospektivnog istraživanja na temu aterosklerotska bolest karotidnih arterija, koji su uzeti iz bolničkog informatičkog sustava u periodu od 01.01.2002. do 24.11.2022. Na samom kraju se spominje uloga medicinske sestre u zbrinjavanju pacijenata prije, tijekom i nakon operativnog zahvata karotidnih arterija. The purpose of the paper is to present atherosclerotic disease of the carotid arteries. At the beginning, the anatomy of the head and neck, blood vessels and carotid arteries is described. Physiology and pathology of atherosclerosis and stroke are mentioned. The clinical picture, epidemiology, methods of diagnosing and treating atherosclerosis of the carotid arteries are presented. Data from a retrospective study on the topic of atherosclerotic disease of the carotid arteries, which were taken from the hospital's IT system in the period from January 1, 2002, were processed. until 24.11.2022. At the very end, the role of the nurse in patient care before, during and after carotid artery surgery is mentioned. |
