Kontinuirani konflikti povezani s profesionalnim razvojem dovode do pretjeranog emocionalnog zamora, smanjenja podrške radnih kolega i, u konačnici, do niske razine radne sposobnost što rezultira niskim stupnjem samopouzdanja i samopoštovanja. Zaključak: Kod medicinskih sestara Opće bolnice Zadar postoji prisutnost Sindroma sagorijevanja, odnosno osjećaja iscrpljenosti i otuđenosti u Covid-19 pandemiji. Introduction: According to the World Health Organization (WHO), burnout syndrome is "a syndrome that is defined as a consequence of chronic stress at the workplace that has not been successfully suppressed." It most often occurs as a consequence of negative relationships between employees and/or the work environment. It occurs in people whose job is related to work or communication with other people. Also, it appears in people who are prone to perfectionism and have unrealistic and excessive expectations and assessments related to professional and personal development. Continuous conflicts related to professional development lead to excessive emotional fatigue, reduced support from work colleagues and, ultimately, to a low level of work ability resulting in a low degree of self-confidence and self-esteem. Objective: The objective of research was to examine the level of "burnout syndrome", i.e. the presence of feelings of exhaustion and alienation among nurses/technicians of the Zadar General Hospital during the SARS CoV-2 virus pandemic. Respondents and methods: The research sample is represented by nurses/technicians of Zadar General Hospital employed in all services and in all departments, including "Covid" departments, who voluntarily completed an online questionnaire. The research was conducted using the quantitative method of survey research. The Oldenburg burnout questionnaire was used for the purpose of survey research. Respondents assessed their personal agreement with the statements on a four-point Likert scale. Results: The results show that the level of "burnout syndrome" does not depend on gender, work experience, employment department/service and experience of working on the Covid ward, while older nurses have a higher level of alienation compared to younger nurses. Conclusion: In the nurses of the Zadar General Hospital, there is a presence of Burnout Syndrome, that is, a feeling of exhaustion and alienation in the Covid-19 pandemic. |
